Q
How do I get the images off the CD?
A
There are 3 ways to do this. First you can use your browser such as Microsoft Explorer, Safari or Firefox. Click on the thumbnail in the gallery to bring up the image you need, then you can drag the picture you need to your desktop or second control click/right click and save the image somewhere to your hard drive. Third you can go directly to the images folder on the CD then to the web or A4 folder and copy your picture manually.

Why does the image look different from screen to print?
A
There can be a variety of reasons for changes in the image. Please read the tips page on the CD or click here as this should give you the answers.

Q
I can't open the pdf document?
A
You need Acrobat Reader as this document is a pdf (portable document format). Fortunately this is a world wide standard for document transportation. For a free version of Acrobat Reader go to Adobe and follow their prompts. Once the application is installed, restart your computer and you should be fine.

The pictures look a bit grainy or soft when enlarged?
A
The images supplied are digital and can only be enlarged to a specific size. If you enlarge the A4 more than it's current size it will become pixelated. This is okay if the viewing distance further away. Many of the original images supplied by Smashn are scanned from transparencies and contain a natural grain. You may need to consider what or how you apply the images in your project
